Food ideas for camping…Plz?
There will be 6 of us. Most of the cooking will be done on a gas grill, but I will be at my cabin which also has pretty much a full kitchen including a fridge. We’ll be on the river partying all day so I really want something I could prep in the a.m then just throw on grill at night. We will be there for 5 days so I need more than just hamburgers and hot dogs. Thanks. All ideas welcome =)

When we used to have parties on our sail boat, we included the following because they could be prepared in the morning or the prior night and then cooked or warmed up later -
- Chicken and Beef Satays w / Peanut Sauce (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/chicken-satay/detail.aspx)
- Pulled Pork Sandwiches (crockpot the pork the night before, pull apart and mix with BBQ sauce)
- Fried Chicken is one of the GREAT cook-ahead meals
-
the most common and easy meals to make are:
breakfast~eggs, bacon, sausage or just cereal..mostly simple things, and usually quick and easy to prepare.
lunch~sandwhiches with fresh fruit
dinner~hot dogs, hamburgers, spaghetti, sloppy joes, steak, chicken legs or breast..so pretty much just a whole bunch of meat.

Here are popular foil-wrap recipes, which include some for breakfast, dinner and even dessert." these are my favorite and eazy to clean up these are the best i just chop up carrots celery or oniuns, potatoes, throw them in big zip lock bags and take them with you that way its eazier to have them pre-preped too, then ill just wrap them up in foil, and throw in chicken breasts, shrimp, fish, beef, or whatever, and some herbs, or special seasoning, and they are eazy and tastey! yet filling!
