Can I make a 'proper' meal with these ingredients?

Hello. I usually eat incredibly boring food. I will eat some source of carbohydrates. I will eat this with either sausage, burger, pita bread pizza or sausage. I will also eat this with three portions of vegetables.

But I’d really like to eat a ‘co-ordinated’ meal? When I say this I mean things like lasagne or pie or something that isn’t just crap thrown together. I look up recipes all the time but there’s always something I’m missing and I’m loath to go buy all the expensive ingredients required, e.g. spices – dear god, the prices! Anyway I do have a lot of ingredients though, so is there anything I can make? I’m hoping to make a proper pizza this week but I don’t know what else . . .

olive oil
dried oregano, dried basil, salt, pepper
soya mince
canned plum tomatoes, canned chopped tomatoes
passata
cheese
cous cous, rice, spaghetti, potatoes, some mashed potato I’ve frozen
white flour, SR flour, wholewheat flour, baking powder, bicarb soda
roasted whole almonds
slivered almond
lemon juice
grapes, frozen raspberries, frozen blueberries, mixed dried fruit, frozen mixed summer fruit, frozen blackberries
frozen broccoli, frozen spinach, fro leaf spinach, fro chopped spinach, fro peas, fro carrot and suede, fro baby carrots, fro mixed veg, red kidney beans, chickpeas, sliced mushrooms

Surely I should be able to make something interesting out of all that crap, right? But obviously a little hard to find actual recipes which I kinda require due to sucking at cooking. I love baking already but I’d really like to try meals, too! Any ideas appreciated. Particularly interested in anything I can do with the above in order to flavour the couscous except just olive oil on its own, I don’t know. Cheers.

is this too many calories?

im asking this question because lately its been colder and i haven’t been getting ANy exercises. im 14 btw. and im at a healthy/average weight. For breakfast i usually eat a bowl of honey nut cheerios and a glass of orange juice. For lunch i usually eat a turkey and lettuce wrap. Sometimes with cheese in it, a bottle of water, and fruit. For dinner today, i ate a big bowl of salad with cucumbers tomatoes, a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese, a light italian vinaigrette dressing, some chopped up celery and spinach leaves mixed with romaine lettuce. I ate that with half a chicken breast and a serving of chopped up baked potatoes and onions. And a glass of milk.
the wrap was whole-wheat , the milk was 2%, and the chicken breast was grilled.
oo. and i had one crepe with a bit of whip cream and choc. sauce in our food and nutrition class because we made them today.
THANK YOU!!!!!

what is a thin silver rod with two small rings near the bottom and a cork-screw-like end used in food prep/?

cork-screw-like end used in food prep/serving called? looks somewhat like a nut pick but is not.

Recipe for tonight… shrimp & chicken…what else to make?

These are the two recipes that I want to cook tonight… do they go well together?

Chicken with Tomatoes and Feta

What You Need!
1 tsp. oil
4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves (1 lb.)
1 onion, chopped
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
1/4 cup KRAFT Greek Vinaigrette Dressing
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1/2 cup ATHENOS Crumbled Feta Cheese with Basil & Tomato
Make It!

HEAT oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken and onions; cover. Cook 10 to 14 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF), turning after 6 min. Remove chicken from skillet; cover to keep warm.

ADD tomatoes, dressing and lemons to onions in skillet; cook 4 min. or until heated through, stirring frequently.

RETURN chicken to skillet. Spoon sauce over chicken. Cook 1 min. or until chicken is heated through; top with cheese.

Bang Bang Shrimp

1 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
3-5 squirts Sriracha hot sauce ( I put way more but it depends how spicy you like your food)
1/2-3/4 cup Cornstarch, to coat the shrimp in
(cornstarch makes it so light vs using flour.. and healthier..only 320 calories for 1/4 lb of shrimp, which is a good serving!)

Directions
1 Mix mayo and sauces for coating.
2 Bread shrimp in cornstarch.
3 Deep fat fry the shrimp until lightly brown.
4 Drain on paper towel, put shrimp in a bowl and coat with the sauce.
5 Serve in a lettuce lined bowl, top with chopped scallions.

What else can I cook with this? Maybe a salad also? Thanks All!

do you think to make sushi is harder than Thai food ?

Hello,

I’ve been working as sushi chef for 2 years. To make sushi is required a pretty good sharp knife (most of it is expensive). very quality fresh ingredients, fresh raw fish, good temperature of rice, and art skills. But if we think of the source on making sushi comparing to Thai food, it is very less. They have only a couple source like vinegar, sake, mirin, soy source, salt, sugar, mayo, sriracha (which is Thai), and chili source ( Thai also). Most of food are prep with raw plan ingredients. Do you think Thai is harder to make or not ?

How much of this soup should I make?

I am making this recipe listed below for Lasagna Soup for a church dinner. It will be one of six or seven soups at this dinner plus salad and bread. I’ve never done this before and I am making it in a 4 quart Crockpot. Will I have to double this recipe to fill my Crockpot and maybe have a little left over in the pan. I would at least like to fill the Crockpot but I’m not sure if I would have to double this recipe or not. If someone could explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it. Also my mom cannot eat beef broth due to a food allergy to MSG so can someone tell me a suitable alternative that does not sacrifice flavor. Thanks if anyone can help me out here.
